Vanessa Menjivar, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to delivering thoughtful and compassionate care.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Hispanic Studies from Brown University. After several years of professional experience—and the transformative experience of becoming a mother, which inspired her to pursue a career in nursing—Vanessa enrolled at Columbia University School of Nursing. There, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2016) and Master of Science in Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health (2018).

Vanessa works with children, adolescents, and adults, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management tailored to each individual.

She takes a collaborative and respectful approach to treatment—ensuring patients feel heard, informed, and actively involved in their care.

Vanessa is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, allowing her to provide culturally responsive care and communicate comfortably with a diverse range of patients and families.
